These rules exist to make the league fun for everyone, noting we have players of all skill and experience levels. Any concerns with the rules below can be discussed with Jack.
Entries
- $35 per player payable when registering.
- Register in-store, online at https://crypticbattlefield.square.site/shop/event-tickets/ or via Facebook Messenger.
- There will be no refunds after registering.
- Prizes will be awarded at the end of the league, prize pool will depend on entries.
Format
- 4 rounds played over 4 weeks plus a finals weekend.
- Pairings will be random, and all pairings will be advised at beginning of league.
- Games can be played in any order at any time. Games must be played in-store unless other arrangements made with Jack due to extenuating circumstances.
- If a player is not available to complete a match, they will score zero and their opponent will be given a score of 70% of available max round points. This rule is subject to change in extenuating circumstances at Cryptic Battlefield's discretion.
- Top 2 players will play in the Grand Final in store on the weekend of 14-15 Sep. If a top 2 player is unavailable this weekend, they will forfeit their place and it will be given to the next placing player, this will continue until 2 players are available. The number one placing player will have priority for game time for the grand final.
Army Composition
- Lists are not locked and can be modified between matches.
- Each player is to field armies built to the current rules with points value of 1500 points.
- Lists must be built in the conquest app and all lists must be made available to your opponent immediately prior to deployment to confirm legality.
- All players must have data sheets (physical or digital) available during battle to present to opponents if requested.
- Proxies are allowed, please discuss proxies with Jack. Most of us are new players and are still trying to build our armies.
Terrain Rules
At the start of the game, players will place objectives as per the scenario and then place terrain in a mutually agreed pattern as per the below rules:
- No piece of Terrain is placed on top of an Objective Zone or Objective Marker.
- No piece of Terrain is within 9˝ of another Terrain piece.
- No piece of Terrain should have a footprint larger than 9˝x6˝.
- Smaller Terrain pieces can be grouped together to form a single Terrain piece. This combination of Terrain pieces should not create a footprint larger than 9˝x6˝. E.g. A ruined hamlet can be combined with a few pieces of broken wall to create a larger ruined structure.
- Can only include up to 2 pieces of Garrison Terrain on each Battlefield.
- The Battlefield should contain about 6 pieces of Terrain but no more than 8.
